The fashion show was a success! Very stressful but satisfying. So much work in so little time! I haven’t been swept up in such backstage frenzy since my days at Fashion Week when it used to be at Bryant Park. It’s all about the final result on stage when it comes to fashion shows. And it better be perfect…… Because of the stress from the past week leading up to this crescendo, I am now sick (but happy!). Here’s a snapshot of my finale dress. Enjoy!
Fashion Night Out was quite busy! Setting up and getting things done was pretty hectic but it paid off. Had fun, and met a lot of interesting people. My little night out took place in the hip neighborhood of DUMBO in Brooklyn, NYC. It’s like Soho w/ a touch of Williamsburg! My model here is wearing one of my pieces for Fall ’10.
Oddly enough, this first post is not about work on the Luminaa line but vacation! Having time off from the busy world works wonders for the creative soul. I spent some time away in the countryside and it was paradise indeed. There is so much color and texture in nature, it’s not a surprise that many designers like myself use it as a source for their collections. This picture only proves just a bit of it. Vibrant, pure and natural.
Refreshed and relaxed, I’m back in Manhattan and ready to dive back into the madness.
More posts to come!
